September’s Spotlight Speaker: Glenda Haines with Eves and Haines Wealth Management
Glenda Haines is the co-owner of Eves&Haines Wealth Management. Eves&Haines is an Independent Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) with the State of Colorado, working directly for their clients, and not a Broker Dealer. Acting as a fiduciary for their clients, Eves&Haines specializes in financial advising, strategy development, financial planning and active, fee-only investment management.
Glenda’s career in financial advising and investments began as a result of choosing to leave a 25 year career in engineering and technical management. Glenda has a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Colorado and worked in engineering consulting for eight years with Garland Cox Associates in Denver, and then as an engineer, manager, and Director for Xcel Energy. The last 13 years at Xcel she was the Director of Commercial and Industrial Marketing, Product Development and Business Development.
Looking for something with more freedom and less travel after adopting her two beautiful daughters from China, Glenda left the corporate world and begin working for herself as an executive coach. She also recognized that most of her retirement savings were in a 401K with Xcel that she now needed to manage! Glenda chose to learn about investing herself and take charge of her own money. She then began another five years of formal education in learning stock market investing. Eventually, her colleagues convinced her that she should help others make more empowered decisions with their money, and she loves it! Glenda and her family moved to northern Colorado in 2010 and began her business in Greeley as the co-owner of Eves&Haines Wealth Management with her business partner Jesse Eves. Prior to forming Eves&Haines, Glenda worked in financial services for Modern Woodman of America.
Glenda is passionate about contributing leadership to her business and community. Currently, she is the Treasurer for the Board of Directors of the Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra, an Ambassador with the Greeley Chamber of Commerce, a Board Director of the Centennial Rotary Club, President of her P.E.O. Chapter, and a founding Board member for the Weld County Colorado Women of Influence Foundation.
Glenda has served many organizations in various leadership capacities over the years, including serving as a Board member for the Women’s Vision Foundation during her time in Denver working for Xcel Energy. The Women’s Vision Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of women in corporate leadership.
